Child Care Vouchers for Tuition
Employers may participate in a Child Care Voucher scheme. The money is usually deducted from your salary (known as a salary sacrifice) and paid to the child care provider. The benefit of this is that you do not need to pay tax or national insurance on this element of your pay.
Ipswich Tuition Centre holds a voluntary registration with ofsted which means it is a qualifying child care provider.
Generally the child must be under 16.
Tax Credits for Childcare
If you qualify for Tax Credits the cost of child care can be claimed as part of the scheme. This will depend on you and your partners income so it is necessary to check with inland revenue to see if you qualify.
If you qualify for Tax Credits you will need to check if Child Care Vouchers are a better option. The HMRC website provides a calculator to check which option is best for you.
